Why can't I download my pictures?

I want to download my pictures video etc from mobile to laptop,i have the usb lead but i cant find the samsung?

When you connect your phone via usb look on the status area on your phone for a usb icon, click that then "mount sd card with pc" or something like that and it should appear in your "comouter" window

It might be not installed properly.. check your phone usb network settings.. If you can't find.. restore the mobile for its default settings.. then connect to the laptop
