What is an Issue paper?

What's a Social Issue from the past year that raises questions for future research...one for a research paper?

• I need to write a paper on a social issue that would raise questions for future research (and it has to be an issue suited for a research style paper - as this is a research design/ethics based paper). Basically have to take a newspaper article on the topic, create a research questions based on an issue that stems from that article, and write a research paper on it.   Unemployment of 8-9.3% in the USA.Though people call it an economic issue, but directly or indirectly it causes social problems; particularly with reference to around 18% unemployed young people here. This subject can be explained in terms of the uncertainties about retaining the required standards of the quality of life and the dangers of unexpected socioeconomic problems emerging in various shapes and sizes. Today massive unemployment is a burning issue affecting all the debt/deficit ridden countries. Here a case in point is that of Greece in the euro zone, where the society is suffering in the wake of the severe most austerity measures enforced there due to corruption, mismanagement and wastage of resources. In writing research papers you must be ready with references, be current with the times and relate your point of view with the ground realities.You may develop your research paper on these suggested lines.
