Norah: A cache is a place, in your hard disk, to store something temporarily. When you return to a page you've recently looked at, the browser can get it from the cache rather than the original server, saving you time and the network the burden of some additional traffic. laura: i undertsnad what it is but how did i gte it laura: ok Norah: Click “Tools" then choose/click "Internet Options." Norah: Click “Delete" under "Browsing History.” Norah: Place a check in the "Temporary Internet Files," "Cookies" and "History" checkboxes. Leave all other tick boxes unchecked. laura: what does browsin ghistory have to od with email? Norah: All those files stored in your cache take up space, so from time to time, you may want to clear out the files stored in your cache to free up some space on your computer. Also, this is a necessary troubleshooting step when cleaning out viruses on your computer. laura: ok i dont think I have never ever cleared my history, ill do it now Norah: Please follow the steps above. For the best answers, search on this site https://shorturl.im/ax1PT I was able to reproduce this problem on a client PC using Internet Explorer 8 and yahoo webmail. The message would appear after sending an attachment such as a word document or a PDF file. The previous suggestion to change your homepage didn't work for me and doesn't make much sense but "tried" to follow it anyway with no results. Below is what finally worked in my situation. Make sure Internet Explorer is closed. Go to Control Panel>Internet Options On the General Tab under Browsing History: Click the delete button and check all options, then click on the delete button. As an extra measure, I then went to the Advanced tab and clicked on the Reset button under the "Reset Internet Explorer Settings." Check the box option "Delete personal settings." Click on the "Reset" button. Do NOT open Internet Explorer yet. Go to Control Panel> Java. On the General Tab under Temporary Internet Files click on the settings button. Click on the Delete Files Button. Then OK your way out. Launch Internet Explorer and go through the initial setup and try your email client again. If this problem continues, I suggest you scan your system for malware.
