Why won't my tracfone show who i receive text messages from?

If say person A (named John) texts me, why won't it show me that it was John who sent the text? it only shows i have a new text, but i have to spend minutes in order to view the text and only then do i find out who sent it? Also, i had a previous tracfone, which DID show text message senders. So are there any current models that DO have that feature? if so which ones show who sent the text prior to opening the text?

This could be the device problem... I would recommend you to report that problem to the device/mechanical service since they are more likely to assist you... Good luck!
