How do you Vibrate your voice when your Singing?

Speech level singing????

• My speech level singing teacher told me my problem is i use a light chest voice and this makes my chords not vibrate fully,she told me to use my chest with more power/intensity(no yelling) ;)...she said the chest voice is like the foundation of my voice and i need to make this strong in order to make the rest of my voice strong..is this true? Thank you.

  Absolutely!! I have been studying voice for over 15 years. I studies classical opera at 2 universities and I have been studying and teaching Speech Level Technique for the past three. Your chest voice is the basis of all your speech. Think about how much people talk in a day without their voice ever getting tired. When you use your chest voice in your lower register you notice that your larynx is low, near the base of your throat. When you learn how to move from chest to mix to head keeping your larynx in this low position you will find that your voice is more powerful, you have a bigger range and you can sing for ages without getting tired. Before I learned SLS I could only sing opera and I would get tired quickly, now I can sing pop, opera, musical theater, ANYTHING!!
