Been There - I do understand the complexities of considering the WHOLE chart and planets these signs are in but the reason I keep referring to "Sun sign" and not just "sign" is because I'm only referring to how the personification of the SUN SIGN will react . Even though I kind of eluded to talking about people with a sun sign, I really just meant the personification of the Sun sign itself. This may seem like basic astrology to you but I'm still in a stage of understanding what each sign represents and so are other users.   It appears that you do not understand astrology very well. I supply the following in an attempt to help you gain an understanding, so that as you use astrology, you will derive correct (rather than incorrect) answers from it: People often think that because signs are square to each other, that planets in those signs will also be square each other. Not so. A square aspect is NOT being in two signs that are square to each other. Yes, Aries is square to Cancer. That is sign-to-sign, and is only useful when you are trying to understand the comparative nature of the signs themselves ... in other words, when you are learning the theory. However, my planet in Aries is not necessarily square your planet in Cancer. In order for them to be square each other, the two planets MUST be between 82 and 98 degrees from each other (that is, 90 degrees apart, plus or minus an orb/range or 8 degrees). In other words, if my Sun is at 3 Aries it will be square any planet in your chart that is between 25 Gemini and 11 Cancer. Also, if I have a planet at 28 Aries, it is NOT square your planet at 3 Cancer. As a matter of fact, it is within the orb of a sextile (harmonious) aspect (which is a distance of 60 degrees, plus/minus 6 degrees, or a distance between 54 and 66 degrees apart). You see ... a planet in Aries CAN be square to a planet in Gemini, if it is within the orb of a square aspect. And a planet in Aries is NOT necessarily square a planet in Cancer .. in fact, they can be in a sextile aspect or a trine aspect - instead of a square - depending on the actual distances between the two. This business of using the distances, in degrees (as opposed to using the signs themselves) applies to ALL aspects: conjunction, sextile, square, trine, and opposition. How a conflicting square affects a person's Sun? Sun shows your sense of yourself. Period. Other planets show other areas, and most of your questions have to do with other planets: 1. Thinks = Mercury, not Sun, 3rd house, 9th house 2. Behaves = not astrology at all. Astrology is about our inner needs. Behavioral, while prompted by our inner needs, is under conscious control and choice ... so the birth chart does NOT show behavior. However, inner needs towards others in general = Venus 3. Feels = Moon 4. Communication style = Mercury 5. Love and Romance = Venus, 5th house, 7th house 6. What matters most will be indicated by whatever house has the most planets in it (you need to have a timed birth chart to find the house positions) 7. Best strength will be whatever planet has the most harmonious aspects within the birth chart 8. Worst weakness will be whatever planet has the most INharmonious aspects with the birth chart. 9. Career path is shown by 10th house, the sign on the Midheaven and it's ruler, and the planets in the 10th house. 10. Creativity is shown by 5th house. Useful productivity is shown by the 6th house. 11. 12. Conflict = Mars. Secondarily by Pluto. 13. Trustworthiness is complex.
