Gaining ability to go to school in USA?

I have a Filipina girlfriend. She wants to go to premed and med school here in the USA to become a cardiologist. What does she need to do to get this ability? I live in the USA i was born here.. She is born in the Philippines and she still lives there with no green card for USA... Does she have to get a green card to go to college here?

No. She'll need excellent grades, about $100,000 for a B.S. in Pre-Med, and another $150,000 for med school. Once accepted by the college as an international student, she'll receive an I-20 form and with that and her proof of ability to pay for everything she will apply for a student visa, the F-1, at the U.S. consulate in Manila.

she needs to be doing very well there then she will need an I-20 from the choice of schools then apply for a visa http://travel.state.gov/visa/temp/types/types_1268.html of course she will need around $200k to pay for all this she will not be getting a green card anytime soon

Green cards are for permanent residents only. People who have been living in the U.S. for several years already and paying taxes. She needs to apply for a Student Visa to be allowed into the country and study here. :)
