Where Is This Number Located Now?

UK, Birth Certificate Number, where is this located on paper?

  • Heya, I'm currently filling out forms for the RAF, and its asked for my birth certificate number/serial number. I've opened the safely kept envelope and theres two peices of paper. One called "CERTIFIED COPY OF AN ENTRY" (A4 sized) and the other "CERTIFICATE OF BIRTH" (Roughly A5 sized) Now, no where on any of these forms does it give you a certificate number or serial.. Not clearly anyway. Although on the birth certificate is a unique code of: G*6#2#7#4# And there is another code on the Certified Copy Of An Entry: D*4#5#9#2 (a * represents a letter and a # is a number) Please tell me where the Birth Certificate number is, please! Thankyou!

You can search the county on the internet in the state you sons were born and get a telephone number to the Dept of Vital Statistics. They will tell you exactly what to do either by mail or in person. Usually, if you live close enough you can stop in and get a copy on the spot for $15. Good luck!
