    Sad story, I must respond. Our politicians, world wide, and most of the population, as well, believe that medicine is a science. Balderdash. It is an ART. The cost goes up because people believe that a doctors examination and opinion is not enough. They demand tests, necessary or not. They refuse to accept that clinical judgement is safer, as accurate, and more affordable. When the unions demanded and won first dollar coverage for health care services, the system went into overdrive, and now, we not only demand more, but cannot afford it. Show me a confident old time GP and I will show you an individual flirting with attacks from the government, his colleagues, and his patients, no matter the outcome... Yet that is the doc I want caring for me!

The cost goes up because people believe that a doctors examination and opinion is not enough. They demand tests, necessary or not. When the unions demanded and won first dollar coverage for health care services, the system went into overdrive, and now, we not only demand more, but cannot afford it. Show me a confident old time GP and I will show you an individual flirting with attacks from the government, his colleagues, and his patients, no matter the outcome... "Allopathy " is a misnomer for modern medicine . It is obsolete .But some "doctors" not qualified or educated call us Allopaths .In very olden days when "Medicine" as a science is not recognized the elite in society used their intelligence not science to treat ailments . Fever was treated by applying ice or cold water to body .Cold was treated by heating the body .Herbs , roots and other plant products were used with experience of elders in society . Modern medicine as practiced by me is not (repeat not) allopathy . When a patient comes to us we take the detailed history of the ailment ,examine body fluids chemically , use X -Rays , Ultrasound ,Radio active isotopes to detect the "main cause " of the disease . That main cause is removed by using purified herbs erroneously called "artificial " drugs,specific irradiation that kills sick areas without destroying nearby healthy tissues ,and surgery IE repair or removal of an un needed tissue or part .Most modern medicines are from herbs but meticulously purified to remove needless impurities. "Medical mafia " is a scandalizing book to make quick money just $25 /copy . Affordable health services come from fair health insurance not from "alternative medicine" . Medicine is a science. OK- so you are going to base your argument on one book. Read a little more about what Government interference has done to Medicine. Cretrins who think the words on a computer screen are the word of GOD are making medical decisions for physicians. And there are some potentially serious problems with the uncontrolled alternative medicines. Many allopathic physicians are using alternative meds now, but sometimes at the risk of their license. The Government tells us what we can and cannot do. Contnue your research. You may write a good book , with your medical background , explaining the bind physicians find themselves in.
