How do I compare two columns of data in Excel 2010?

how about if you open up a new sheet. in Column A copy&paste the 1st column of numbers in column B put a bunch of "1st list" so you know what list the number came from in column A underneath the last phone#....paste the 2nd column of numbers. in column B put a bunch of "2nd List" so you know these are from the 2nd list. then you can sort the 2 columns OR use your remove duplicates OR highlight or whatever. you dont just need just A and B, you can copy&paste the whole 2nd sheet under the 1st sheet if you want. but i would still add a column to the right so i could keep track of what row came from what sheet or column. i would also maybe give each row its own number (using autofill)....that way after the duplicates are highlighted or deleted, ican easily re-sort back to put everything in its original order hope this helps
