What exactly will happen if i jailbreak my ipod?

I want to jailbreak my iPod but I'm scared that something might happen to it...?

    do it BUT NT YET wait for an untethred jailbreak for 5.1 to come out yet, and in the meantime search youtube for cool stuff you might want. btw there are almost no viruses for ios, and i say almost only because there is a slimchance somebody wrote one, but highly unlikely b/c it is based on unix, like osx and linux, and they rarely have viruses, and jsilbroken ios users are a much smaller base than desktop unix users, and less valuable personal info is on your phone, and you can always resore if u dont like it ps i broke my wrist yesterday sorry for bad typing :(
