-
I bought my pc 3 months ago, it was working fine. Few days ago, my friend told me that a lot of noise comes from my mic when i call him on skype. So i tried 3 different mics but my friend still observed noise. So now what is the solution of my problem ? I have already spent 1000$ on my pc and i don't want to spend any more money on it. My motherboard model is Intel DH67CL.I even don't know in which category to put this question. Sorry for my english Thanks in advance

Answer:
May I ask, is this built into your computer? Because built in microphones on computers are notorious for having awful quality. If your microphone supports it, I suggest you put it in Cardioid mode to remove as much background noise as possible. Another reason that the call quality can deplete is due to the internet connection, the connection of you or your friend could be bad, so Skype will send the data in lower quality to reduce call lag.

Could be skype that is *******, your/friends internet connection, the sound card cud be fkd, the motherboard cud be fkd, it could be your friends motherboard/sound card.. have you tried calling "echo" on skype?.. If you hear any noise its your computer/mic.
windows 7, right click the speaker by the clock, playback devices, double click the speakers, levels tab and mute the bottom mic by clicking the speaker icon to the right. That will kill the feedback you are getting. For the recording devices, double click the mic, levels tab, move the bottom slider to 20db or even 10 if you still have too much background noise.
