Are there any abandoned places in Pennsylvania?

Abandoned places or creepy forests in Washington State?

• I live on Whidbey Island in Washington state, just moved here about a year ago, i was wondering if anyone knows of any good abandoned places including buildings, warehouses, mills, farms, and old houses (preferably pre-1940). I know there is probably a lot of these in Seattle, but i want to avoid that area, I'm originally from Detroit, so i already have a nice collection of pictures of abandoned urban areas, i will explore Seattle eventually, right now i'm looking for more rural, or hidden away places out in the middle of nowhere. Also, anyone know of any good forested areas that are usually really foggy or just really erie or creepy looking? Something with really old trees maybe. I am a photographer, i have done some research online but information on these things in washington state doesn't really seem readily available..I know the best way is just to go out and drive around looking for it, unfortunately i have limited miles on my car and cant afford to do that right now.

  Go on the olympic peninsula over to Hoh rainforest, which is part of Olympic National Park. Google pictures of the Hoh rainforest - it's one of the most memorable places I've ever been. I took a guided salmon drift fishing trip down the Hoh river, the guide knew just the right places to stop for a break - amazing.
