Why won't AIM detect my webcam?

Acer Aspire One cannot detect webcam (webcam built in)?

    Yea what program are you trying to use with this web cam ? Also are you turning other programs like skype .. off before you try to use this other program ? If you still have skype open it could be taking ownership of the camera dis-allowing other programs to see this particular piece of hardware. If you have turned off any and every other program that could use the web-cam I would then try to dig into the settings of the program in question to see if you can select a camera. That's the best I can do for ya without knowing what program you are trying to use Hope this helps. Perhaps try another program that accomplishes the same task
