Where can i find it on a keyboard?

Where can I find an ultrathin laptop (no optical drive) with a full keyboard?

  • I'm looking for a new laptop - my current one is too bulky. I find that I rarely use CDs and DVDs anymore, so I'm looking for an thin model that doesn't include one. I don't intend to do any gaming or serious graphics work, so I'm looking just to use an Intel 2nd gen CPU with integrated graphics, such as the i5 2540 M or i3 2370 M. I'd accept an i7 as well, if that's my only option. My goal for this laptop is to not wait for anything, so I also want an SSD, probably about 120 GB. I've found most of these specs on some machines, but either they aren't as thin as I'd like (they include an optical drive) or they don't have a full keyboard, which is a must. I've also checked barebones options and custom manufacturers, but all of them include optical drives or go overboard on graphics. I know I'm picky, but this is my new dream machine. Does such a laptop exist yet?

  • Answer:

13" MacBook air with i5 dual core and Intel HD graphics and backlit key board. EDIT: You are mistaken. From the Apple web site - "Anyone can try to make a notebook that’s thin and light. Success comes in doing it without cutting corners. That’s why MacBook Air features a full-size keyboard, not a condensed version of what you’re used to. When you type on the MacBook Air, it’s just as comfortable as typing on a desktop keyboard" Having used one at the Apple store it appears to me that the keyboard is the same that is on my 17" MacBook Pro.
