Which Japanese cell phones work in the US?

Does beats audio on cell phones work with other headphones?

I'm looking for a cell phone with above average audio quality. I'm not looking for audiophile quality but something better than most phones have. The only phones I see that make an attempt at this is are these with HTC phones with "Beats Audio". My question is do I need beats headphones to reap these benefits or are non beat headphones compatible with "beats audio" cell phones. Also, if you know of any other phones with above average audio quality please let me know about them. The floor is yours, thank you.
