I was going to be a smart *** and say it was because it has a mind of it's own, but I don't want to be that way right now. Sounds to me like it is a loose connection. Maybe the wiggling of the drum is causing the heating element to wiggle too and is interfering with the connection. Maybe it isn't all the way plugged in ,or however it is they are connected. A screw to a wire could be loose, a fuse might be having trouble deciding whether or not to blow out. It could be lots of things that cost big bucks to have a repair person come out when in fact you could have done the same thing for free if you knew what it was. I am giving you an address to an appliance trouble shooting/repair web site. You just type in the brand name, the model number, and then the problem you are having with it. Boy they get it right on the head too. They show you pictures of how to open it, what to look for, how to tell if whats no good, they just go 100% on their information. I used this place and fixed my refrigerator by myself for $26.40! The repair place wanted over seven hundred dollars! The place is called," Appliantology.org".
