What do I hook my amp up to?

I have a 2005 maxima and am wondering what is the easiest way to hook up a sub and maybe an amp?

• I have a sub and an amp but i only really want to use the sub so i can limit the wiring. I don't know how to hook up the speaker wire to the stock deck and i don't want to change the deck. Could i splice into the back stock Bose subs and hook up the sub to that with out the amp? But if i have to use the amp i will.

  you really do not have a clue on what it takes to run a sub woofer.first without the right head unit/stereo,an aftermarket one is best.if using a factory stereo with external amps running subs and speakers leave the set up alone.in newer cars there are many other functions running threw your wiring harness that is powering your sound system.you could cause some serious damage to the car.save your money and go to a pro audio installer.YOUR ASKING FOR TROUBLE.remember you have been warned.and do not unplug your factory head unit without the security code.its most times in the manuel on a sticker on the back page.this alone will give you a big head ake.this alone will shut down your tunes and you will be pissed off each time you get in the car.any sub woofer on earth needs the proper amplifier to power it.
