Is there a such thing as a caffeine pill?
-
Im a caffeine junkie. I can't go without atleast 3 cans of pepsi a day or mountain dew. But the sugars are ridiculous and im trying to take better care of myself. If I don't get caffeine I get horrible headaches. So yeah are there caffeine pills? Im 16. Oh and I don't want to switch to diet because its actually worse. Thank you!

Answer:

I'm not sure exactly where you get them but I know they're out there. But all that soda isn't good for you dude and caffeine addiction can net you a serious withdrawal so that's what your feeling. I'd just try and wean yourself off it if you can.

I just read today where a girl died from drinking caffeine energy drinks. Pepsi and Mountain dew have less than Red bull and others but still you are on the wrong track. You need to cut back, not increase. The way to do that is have one half less can of caffeine a day for a week and then one less whole can for a week so that eventually you limit to one a day and then one a week. You will have a dull headache during withdrawal for which you can take an aspirin; but its better than a cardiac arrythmia which may kill you. There is a physiological lowering of blood sugars about 2 hours after caffeine intake which makes you feel rotten. Another problem is that you do not go to bed early enough, I bet. Teens usually stay up too late and then have to get up early for school. If you want to take care of your body, go to bed early like 9 30 and get moderate exercise during the day. Drink fruit juices and trust me, after a couple months you will feel like a new person. Im not saying it will be easy but it will be the best thing you can do for your body as well as your academics and personal relations with others. Sorry to preach but just trying to help.

Definitely - Vivarin and No-Doz. I don't recommend them, though. They have an unclean quality to them. You're MUCH better off drinking green tea or taking green tea capsules. It contains caffeine and other natural stimulants that work together...way nicer than just plain ol' caffeine. http://www.swansonvitamins.com/SW977/ItemDetail

I've bought caffeine pills at CVS. They're a little hard to find because they're in some random section (can't remember which). I would highly recommend adhering to the warnings on the label though.
