How To Find Pictures Of People On The Internet?

I can't find these pictures anywhere!?

  • I'm getting a little frustrated.. I'm saving up for the Canon PowerShot SX40 HS camera. I think this camera is a amazing. Lol. Well, I want it because: 1.) It looks like a DSLR. (I can't afford a DSLR, and I'm not that serious about photography, I'm 16 and photography is just a hobby for me. But I love the look of a DSLR! And the quality! But I don't think I'm ready for one like that.) 2.) I need it to take good quality pictures and record good quality videos. I wish I could get the quality of a DSLR, but I can't afford that. It's going to be hard enough saving up for the Canon PowerShot SX40 HS! Lol. Well, I fell in love with this camera. I played on it in a store without realizing it was a Canon PowerShot. I fell in love with it before I even noticed what kind if was. First thoughts: "Aw man, another DSLR I will never have the money to buy.." "Ohhhh, pretty pictures with auto focus!!!" Then I saw the model and price and was like "Amazing!" So I love the way it looks, the zoom, and the quality. I didn't test it out on a portrait of anyone. That was a big mistake. I NEED to see what the quality is for people portraits. I hope the quality is great.. I haven't seen a real portrait of anyone taken with this camera. You know, the portraits like senior pictures? Well, I want to see pictures in the form of this. I can't find these kind of pictures anywhere on the internet! I've looked everywhere! If someone can give me a link to pictures like these, or if you own this camera and can show me pictues that you have taken of yourself or others, then that would be fantastic! It would be greatly appreciated!!! I don't want to waste my hard-work and money if the camera will be disappointing when it comes to these kind of pictures. Take a look at this picture. Will I at least be able to take photos of this quality with the Canon PowerShot SX40 HS? https://twitter.com/#!/LilShortyTanja/status/148178092895109120/photo/1/large Thanks for your time and consideration! -Isaiah

http://www.flickr.com/cameras/canon/powershot_sx40_hs/ There is the Flickr search for pictures made with that camera. If you click the drop-down box you can select to see portraits. Cameras with small sensors have some trouble producing narrow DoF, (where the subject is sharp and the background is out of focus and soft) You should be able to get some of the effect, though, using a wide aperture and long end of the zoom. Finding or creating good light is up to you. I usually find that people who are disappointed with fairly nice cameras are lacking knowledge and skill rather than gear. It is a decent camera, most importantly it does have full manual control so you can actually learn about exposure. Here is a review, I think they are comparing it to a Lumix: http://www.cameralabs.com/reviews/Canon_PowerShot_SX40_HS/ Whatever camera you choose will only be as good as the person behind it. So plan on learning some basics of photography and composition. Have fun!
