How do I know if my computer can run the Hauppauge HD PVR?

Hauppauge HD PVR, Wont Connect to Computer/Computers!?

• I Own a Hauppauge HD PVR, and I Went to sleep, i turn it off, wake up this morning to record, and i open up Total Media Extreme, and its blank i turned off the PVR And turn it back on, like everyone else does when it crashes or has any other problems. Ive tryed Resetin my Computer, I have uninstalled Total Media Extreme i can not remove the drivers because the device wont connect, so there is no way to open it in Device Manager. I Have try'd other Computers the Device still doesnt work in them, I have only had it for a month so its not over heated or any problems. Any Ideas please comment. This pvr is really important to me its my job.

  try a different usb cable, i know it may sound strange but usb cables do fail. (they are made by 6 year old kids in Taiwan) if it still wont work with a new cable and a different pc, return it to the shop.
