Is there a Dish Network in Brasil?

How to program 3+ Dish Network Remotes to one box?

  • Dish Network VIP722k DVR box Dish Network Remote 1: 20.0 1R, 155681 Dish Network Remote 2: 21.0 IR/UHF PRO, 155679 Dish Network Remote 2: 21.0 IR/UHF PRO, 155679 What I am trying to do: I have had Dish Network for nine months now and have grown tired of having to move remote controls around from room to room. So I purchased a second remote 2 from amazon. It's sold by Dishnetwork and has all of the same numbers on the back as the one that the install guy gave me. Anyways, when I program the new remote 2, the receiver (aka box) forgets about the old remote 2. I didn't expect that to happen. Does anyone know how to program 3 or more remotes to the same box? I'll call the customer service number but will most likely take 10+ minutes just trying to explain that I bought my own remote control. And the person will probably have to transfer me 3x before I get anyone that knows how to anwser more than just billing questions. Anyways, (1) can this be done? (2) If so how? Thanks much!

Hi, Cheri Torres with DISH Social Media Team here. You should be able to get both your 21.0 remotes to work with your TV2 and I would be happy to help you achieve this. In order for both of the TV2 remotes to work together they will need to be set to the same remote address. I will list here for you the instructions for addressing the remotes to your receiver box. Make sure to follow the same directions for both remotes using the same remote address. I hope this information helps and if you have any further questions or concerns please let me know. Thank you. Instructions for addressing the remote to the receiver 1. Make sure that both 21.0 remotes have the blue TV2 tab in the bottom. 2. Take the remotes to the receiver location. 3. Enter the system info screen. You can do this by pressing the menu button twice on your TV1 remote or by pressing the system info button on the front right side of the receiver. 4. Press and hold down the SAT button until all the lights are lit on the remote. 5. Enter a number 1-15 on the remote keypad (make sure you choose the same number for both remotes). 6. Press the pound(#) button once. 7. Press the record button. 8. Cancel out of the system info screen then reenter it and follow the same steps for your second TV2 remote.

CheriTDI...

I called your support unit three times and they said you could only program one remote to the secondary TV remote address. I have been messing with this thing for a week now. Almost ready to call for service. I would have got ripped off. Thanks for the info and pass this info on to your support. Apparently they don't know what is going on.

I just spent 20 minutes on live chat with someone who in the end told me it couldn't be done. I know that it can and I have done it before. I wish Dish would hire people that knew more than how to read off a script!
