How do I know if I have herpes?

What causes herpes? and how do i know if i have it tooo?

  • okay, so my boyfriend. tells me he has herpes. but didnt go to the doctors to check yet.. & now im like FREAKING out :( what causes it to happen?? . we've been having alot of unproteced sex for the last 2 months. aha, and i understand that that puts us more at risk.. but. please what causes it? . & how do i know if i have it? :( i'm scared to the max beacuse im only 14!!!!! help :c

People can have it for years and never know it. Unfortunately, that is the only way to know for sure. There's no way to test at home, and its dangerous to wait for an outbreak that may never come.
