How to play PC games using PS3 controller?

• Please read all of this before answering. I want to be able to play PC games with a PS2 controller. If I buy this PS2 to PS3 controller adapter will it work if I connect it to my PC? http://www.amazon.com/PS2-Playstation-Controller-Adapter-Converter-3/dp/B001QCDNCS I'm specifically trying to play Skyrim and Portal 2 with this setup. I'm running on 64bit Windows 7 if it makes a difference. Will it work if just plug in my controller with this adapter? And if not could I use motionjoy or another program to do this? Thanks a ton.

  1 Navigate to the Motion in Joy website and download the device drivers that correspond to your version of Windows. 2 Double-click on the downloaded file and drag the contents to your desktop. 3 Double-click on the extracted file and follow the onscreen instructions to install the drivers and control interface application. The control interface application launches automatically when you click the "Finish" button. 4 Click "Driver Manager" and connect your PS3 controller to the PC via the USB cable. 5 Click the "Load Driver" button once Windows finishes installing the device drivers and the notification balloon disappears from the system tray. 6 Click the "Quickstart" link and press the "Vibration Testing" button to verify that Windows detects the controller properly. 7 Load a PC game that supports game pad controls and select the PS3 controller from the list of available control types and begin playing.
