Not on the expansive list above Blender at www.blender.org Yes I know it is a 3D animation program but it has powerful video editing and compositing tools as well, I have personally edited several videos in it and you can easily add visual effects. There are tutorials out for green screen and adding 3D objects to your video clips, best of all this program is free.

Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects are great commercial ones. They're pretty expensive, and there aren't any great free ones I've seen so far except iMovie on a Mac (software-free, mac-expensive).
