How do I fix the scratches on my iPod screen?

My ipod screen broke. Is it possible to fix it by purchasing a new screen? Please help!?

• I recently and accidently broke my white ipod touch 4th generation about two weeks which I have no insurance for, and found out from research online that I could replace the broken screen for my ipod by purchasing a pre assembled digitizer and LCD screen online. Is it true? Is it made of safe or the same material as the manufactured ipod touch straight from the factory? However, after doing more research online some ppl were saying some of the companies they bought their replacement screens from doesn't fit properly, or the screen goes out on them like 1 month later after repairing it. I was looking into replacing my screen on my own, but I don't want to buy a new screen for no more than $50-$75 as I believe thats as much as a replacement screen should cost. I don't want to buy a new ipod or spend $150 to have my screen fixed at apple when I could just buy a new one. So what do you guys think? Can anyone recommend me some websites where they got their replacement ipod touch screen and its still working like a charm and looks exactly like the original ipod touch screen before it broke?

  You can purchase parts. I have tried to repair iPods and they are extremely hard to work on. very thin wires, some parts require soldering, and really small tools are required. I usually end up destroying the device instead of fixing it. I suggest sending it to a repair shop or find one locally. You can find many repair shops online. Good Luck.
