What do you bring to the beach for a picnic?

Romantic picnic food ideas?

  • I'm planning a picnic for my boyfriends 18th birthday. He likes all kinds of food. I'm just confused what to bring to eat. I'm gonna set up a blanket in the dock next to the sandy "beach" area on the local lake. I'm also going to set up candles or luminaries. And planning in having him show up a little before sunset. Any ideas on easy foods and drinks?

    finger foods are the best for picnics cus their soo romantic. how about a veggie tray with the dressing of ur choice. and/or crackers with cheese and kolbassa or some sort of deli meat. and other fruits for dipping into the chocolate, like pineapple, cherries(sexy), grapes... for drinks, lemonade! but make it fancy by adding sparkling water, since ur teens and can't drink alcohol, it tastes like booze lol.

cold shrimp,or fried chicken, a macaroni or potato salad, rolls, sparkling cider, or a 7-up punch with pineapple juice. grapes and strawberries... 18 and romance really doesn't compute! so, that's the best i can come up with for now... hope he enjoys his birthday surprise.
