How do I stop my computer from logging me off everytime I log on?

How do I fix and stop my computer from shutting down right after I log in?

  • I am able to turn on my computer and log in on safe mode. However if I log on in normal mode it automatically shuts off within 30 seconds to two minutes and keeps restarting. My guess is that it's a virus, but I suppose it could also be problems with the computer hardware itself. What steps should I take to finding out why my computer shuts off shortly after I log in? Also I'm prepared to take it apart if necessary, but I need guidance in what to take out and rearrange.

Sounds like you have a driver problem. When you boot in safe mode, the drivers are not loaded so the computer works. Now you start in normal mode and you load the drivers, the computer shut downs and reloads. In the safe, in the search window, type "MSCONFIG" with out quotes and press enter. In this window click on Services, click on the box beside Hide all Microsoft services, click on Disable all, click on Startup tab, click on Disable All, click on OK and reboot to normal setup. If computer stays running without any problems then check your Device Manager for any yellow or red warnings. Try to get updated drives for flagged devices. All them are fix. Type MSCONFIG to reset everything back to normal, on the top screen check the top box. If doesn't fix the problem then you have hardware problem. The only way to solve the problem is to pull out one item at time and run and try other part. Take to shop for repairs last option.

You could also, (if you have it) put the disk to your motherboard in and update all of the motherboard drivers from it. You can check the drivers on all of your other devices by going to Start menu and LEFT Clicking the Computer item and then clicking on Manage in the sub menu. You then click on Device Manager and look for yellow exclamation marks or red x's. LEFT click on those devices and go to Properties. In the submenu click on Drivers and update from there. If you still have problems, you may want to run the repair feature from your operating system disk and then uninstall and re-install your apps. If you have problems after that, that's when to open the case.

It's not a virus, it's a worm. You need to load a "paid for" anti-viral program. None of those free programs, they don't work.
