Good way to learn to read guitar music?

What is the easiest way to learn piano without taking lessons?

  • I dont want to take any lessons because i learn better on my own anyway. I have taught my self how to play guitar, drums, base guitar, ukulele, and the violin. Now i want to learn how to play the piano! What is the easiest way to learn how to play on the internet? Oh and btw, i cant read music. lol that might be kinda important. So um.. yeah thanks :)

Just practice everyday, if you can. I had lessons when I was little, but I really learned a lot just playing by ear. Get some tunes that you like and try finding the melody on the piano. If you enjoy playing music, you will automatically play almost on a daily basis already. That's how you learn the best (on you own anyway).

I've been working with the course for about a week now, and it's incredible. Just the practice aids and the different scales and memory techniques in Book 9 are worth the price of the course, alone! There are two things that make this course stand out. First, all the video and audio files are embedded in the lesson. I have yet to find another piano course that makes it this easy. It's so nice not to have three files going at the same time! The second thing is that you actually get to play in each lesson! And the songs are not "Mary had a Little Lamb" types! From the Beatles to Bethoven, it's all there. I have several piano courses that I have ordered over the internet. This is the one I use because it makes learning fun! I'm amazed! Once you get the rhythms down, you really can sound like a pro! Great fun! Thanks for making this available at such a reasonable price. Anyone who doesn't grab this up is going to go the long way home! Joy! Now ANYONE Can Learn Piano or Keyboard?

Get a grasp on the basics- note recognition, chords and chord progressions. You can do this online on sites like youtube. Once you get that down, get a hold of the chord charts to some of your favorite songs. If you keep it fun, you'll have a better probability of making it happen! Don't discount lessons, though. They can literally take years off of your learning curve. Good Luck!
