What's a good cockatiel cage?

8 year old male cockatiel being very grumpy lately?

  • I've had my lovely cockatiel for most of his life and have always loved him. However, lately he has been extremely testy. He threatens to bite me if I get close to him while he is in his cage, and has actually bitten me once. He loves to whistle and loves to talk; as he always has. But it seems as though he has been more screeching lately than whistling. He also rejects his once loved fruit and refuses to come out of his cage for anything. Can someone please tell me whats causing his random mood swing? I am very worried about him. :/ Help is much appreciated.

    I guess that Spring is causing the moodswing. Hormones and such. Does he have a little lady friend? If you don't, it would be nice to get him one. (: I wish you the best of luck (; -Jenny
