Is working a warehouse job hard?

What other type of jobs (other than another warehouse job) can i qualify for?

  • I have been working as a Material Handler in a warehouse for a little over 5 years now. I have been trying to get out of the warehouse field for almost a year now with no luck whatsoever. I have applied for other non-warehouse jobs but i haven't got any responses in return. The only companies that i get replies from are other warehouse jobs, obviously because of my experience. I have my AA but that doesn't seem to help at all. The truth is, I still dont know what I want to do as a career; but what I DO know is that it is not in a warehouse. What other jobs (not warehouse) can a person with my experience have a chance with? Serious replies only. I am beginning to lose faith in job hunting. HELP!

I feel you. i started a warehouse job when I started university. 3 years later, after graduation, i find myself applying for work every day with no luck. so I'm a warehouse man with a Bachelor Degree in Marketing Management, how's that? I also realized I'm sick of job hunting, so I'm gonna do something on my own. if you feel like there any sort of entrepreneurial spirit in you, I'll e-mail you a couple of self-employment opportunities you may pursue. I also heard, not sure, that in UK a company is obliged by law to make a vacancy public when it occurs. that doesn't mean it hasn't already been filled by someone they chose. good luck finding work. the key is to never stop searching, they say. I myself can't anymore.
