-
ok so im eighteen years old and ill start off with my dream. last night i had a dream that i was pregnant then all of a sudden my little brother ( who is 4 years old) appears in my dream. my mom approached me and goes shawn is your kid, you had him. and in the dream i went from being pregnant to having a four year old kid that i thought was my brother. in the dream he started calling me mommy and my mom backed off and kinda disapeared and all that was left was me and my little brother who in my dream i guess was my kid? a few nights ago i had a dream that i was pregnant but it wasnt like the weird dream i had last night. i mean the only reason im asking is because i do have a boyfriend and we do have unprotected sex, but i am on the pill. i did skip a couple this month because i forgot to pack it in my suitcase when i went away for the weekend. my period is supposed to be this week, but no sign of it yet. i just didnt know if i am worried for nothing? and what this weird dream could of meant?

Answer:
To dream that you are pregnant symbolizes an aspect of yourself or some aspect of your personal life that is growing and developing. You may not be ready to talk about it or act on it. Being pregnant in your dream may also represent the birth of a new idea, direction, project or goal. Alternatively, if you are trying to get pregnant, then the dream may be a wish fulfillment. If you are not trying to get pregnant, but dream that you are, then it symbolizes fear of new responsibilities.

It's possible that you're worrying about being pregnant. So it appears in your dreams and uses people that you do know. But if you really are worried you can try checking if you are pregnant.
It is normal, and very common for teen girls to dream of pregnancy. It is because of hormonal surges, we are mammals after all, and the urge to procreate is with our biological makeup. Humans have a choice however, as to whether they want to procreate or not. Having unprotected sex, or allowing your body to fool you into getting 'accidentally on purpose' pregnant' will result in pregnancy that will satisfy hormonal surges. However, creating a new life is far, far more than any physically-created situation. Having a child changes everything. The mother lives for the child every after. It's your choice, but think about, and not merely succumb to, the urges of the body. As for the dream of your brother, I think that's part of the hormonal things. But there's something else too. Could it be that you may have resented having to look after your brother as much as you have had to? If your mother has given you much babysitting responsibility, then your little bro at times might have felt like your own child - maybe. So now you might consider that. Are you ready for the responsibilities of gestating, birthing and raising your own child? And is your boyfriend also ready for the life-long responsibilities of fatherhood?
