Where is a safe area to live in PHILADELPHIA around St. Christopher's Hospital for Children?
-
I will be taking classes at St.Christopher's hospital in Philadelphia this coming fall and would like to know where to live. I am not familiar with the city and its neighborhoods and I'm hoping someone knowledgeable could shed some light into this.... Safety comes first. Very close to public transportation because I do not drive. Inexpensive, I would generally not like to not go above $600, best if rent is about $450 or so... Studio Apt. or 1 bed-roomed Shopping center close by or something of the sort... Hope anybody can help!

Your not getting any kind of apartment in a safe neighborhood for 600 bucks a month. The safest would maybe be Bridesburg or Port Richmond...both about a 20 minute train ride to University City where St. Chris's is. Also some areas in South Philly aren't bad
