Does google wealth connection really work?

Having really weird problems with Google! Can anyone help me figure out the problem or help me fix it?

• I have a completely weird problem with Google. I don't think there is a problem with my internet; other search engines and websites work. One of the problems is that it says I'm signed out when I know for a fact that I'm signed in, and when I try to sign in it gives me the "connection timed out" message. I cannot see the occasional doodles or my own background image that I chose. I can go to Google and search, but when I click on a link I get the "connection timed out" message again. Here's a really weird part. I can look at the address for the link, and copy and paste it into the address bar and go to the site, but if I had tried to go to that link before and got the one of the error messages it won't let me go to that site if I just type the address. If I try to open the link in a new tab it gives me the "404 not found" message. I cannot load Google image results at all. After clicking "search" once again I get the "connection timed out" message. If I click on a link to a Google image from another site it gives me the "404 not found" message also. I don't think it's a problem with my browser. I have Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Chrome on my computer, and the same thing happens with each one except for maybe a different kind of error message. I can get Google to work occasionally if I shut down my computer, and unplug my modem for a moment. When I reboot I can get it to work properly for a few minutes maybe. Any help would be much appreciated. If you think you have a solution please don't be too technical. I'm not the best with this kind of stuff.
