How To Do Makeup?

How to wear makeup naturally to school without anyone noticing?

  • I wear only a little foundation to school, NOTHING ELSE! as eye makeup is banned and wearing foundation was only allowed since last year for the people who need 'coverage' of scars etc. So anyways, I use a primer and then I really just use a TINY bit of foundation as a concealer on my problem areas and I lightly go over my face with foundation powder and finish off with some 'finishing powder'. So that's all I wear, nothing else! The problem I have is that it's noticeable.. and you're probably thinking 'but 15 year old girls wear a tonne of makeup'.. well not at my school .. some of the 'dress to impress' girls wear eye makeup and get in trouble, getting remover wipes blah blah.. but anyways.. mostly all the girls in my grade don't wear makeup at all.. and they can tell that I have it on, even with so little! I don't get confronted everyday but every so often (2-3 weeks) someone says 'are you wearing makeup?' and me blushing as I feel I've done something wrong says 'no' which is quite pathetic seeing as it's noticeable to most people.. :/ and they then go on by saying 'yes you are' which leaves me dumbfounded.. so here's my question.. how can I wear makeup naturally to school? I blend and I use the makeup around my chin/neck to make sure it's not noticeable and I really do NEED to wear makeup! I have acne scars and have low-self esteem without it ;(

Wash your skin first so that there isn't excess oil that will cause your makeup to not go on smoothly or cause it to come off faster. Apply a thin coat of oil-free SPF moisturizer to allow your makeup to go on smoothly and look dewy, not cake-like. Dip your small finger into the pot of concealer and dab it on one of your most noticeable acne scars. You want to raise the surface of the scar so that it is flush with the rest of your skin, which is why a thicker product like concealer works better than a thinner foundation formula. Dab on the scar until it is covered, and move onto the next, covering all of the marks in this way. Apply some foundation in a color similar to the concealer onto a triangular foundation sponge. You only need a pointer-finger amount on the sponge. Press the sponge into the skin on your face, concentrating on those places that you've used the concealer on. Blend the rest of the foundation outward, and along your chin and neck. You should not be able to see the concealer marks when finished. Dip a stiff blush brush into a pot of translucent powder. Use it to stipple over the acne scars by quickly pressing the brush into the marks to create a more natural texture. Then, use the brush to sweep powder over your entire face to set the concealer. Use a bronzer or blush to add a little color to brighten up your covered face. It helps to make your look more natural and smooth. You can also add a little shimmer to the tops of cheeks if it's for a special event, but be sure to keep it away from the acne scars. It might settle into the scars and bring more attention to them.
