Are Organic architecture and High-Tech architecture opposite?

Do you know any good books on architecture or of architecture?

• hello! you sexy people! lol! anyway i am a student currently studying A levels in year 12. My future aspiration and goal is to become an Architect and i was wondering, since universities like someone whose active academically but also active in being independent and finding out their things in their spare time; then by me starting to widen my knowledge will hopefully give me a better chance with interviews. So what i want to ask you is if you can kindly give me some book titles (preferably cheap books); well known authors/architects and sites that are good for getting them from. i don't mind if its about modern architecture, urban architecture, traditional, etc. However, I'm more into how architecture and architects have changed throughout centuries and mostly Islamic architecture and other cultures in contrast to the western world. please help me, thank you for time ;)
