Why isn't my VGA monitor displaying video from my Playstation 2?
-
I have a nice, 20" flatscreen monitor that wasn't being used for anything, so I tried to MacGuyver it to work with my playstation 2. My Playstation 2 has regular RCA outputs for audio and video. So I attached a RCA-to-VGA adapter to it. Since the VGA cord was male (as was the VGA cord coming from the monitor), I then used a VGA female-to-female adapter to let me connect the two VGA cords to one another. Not working. What am I doing wrong? How can I fix it?

Answer:
You can't convert RCA to VGA with a cable. You would need a conversion box to do that as RCA and VGA are not compatible.
