In college what are general classes?

What college classes should I take?

• I'm going to be a junior next year in high school and I'm trying to take as many college classes possible while in high school. I am planning on majoring in engineering. Should I mainly take classes that will get rid of my english/history/elective classes or should I go ahead and start taking math and science classes for engineering? I have already taken trigonometry and college algebra, and my school offers very few dual-enrollment classes and no AP classes. The colleges I can go to for classes are: University of Missouri High School ($185 per class, only has AP classes) Missouri University of Science and Technology ($260 per credit hour, has math and science classes) Ozarks Technical Community College ($86 per credit hour, has english/history/elective classes) Which one should I choose?

  Honey , I am so proud of you taking college credits early. My number one recommendation I refer to when talking to high school students is CLEP and DANTES exams. They are $80-100 test , I know you may have heard of them but few high schoolers check it out. The college your interested in will have a list od CLEP and DANTES exams that would transfer and how many credits you will make from it. Just use the books and practice exams as a tool to know what will be on it. I would personally recommend: -Heres to your Health - Math ( whatever math class your in now, do an exam in that) - Literature and Analysis - of your good at reading comprehension
