You don't need to buy any books as long as you have a computer. There are thousands of things about cooking on YouTube. Learn the basics of cooking and they will stay with you for life. Don't be afraid to experiment. Over time (with the love you have) you will just know if something is bad and why it turned out that way. Me for instance I make a chocolate chip cake. It was OK the first few times I made it but was kinda dry....I added an egg, used milk instead of water and baked at 350 instead of 425 like the directions said. Now everyone BEGS me to bring it wherever I go. Later in life it may be a good idea to work for a year or two in a quick service restaurant gaining some valuable experience. Culinary schools are great but there are lots of people who finish and can't find a job because they have no practical experience....good luck..

First you will of course have to get a degree in college, most likely culinary school. Then you may want to search around for a job at a small business and move up to the point where you are well known. At this point you may be hired as a personal chef.
