What would I have to study to be a neonatal nurse?

Do you study nursing in University if you want to be a Neonatal Nurse?

  • I'm currently studying human biology, which is mainly based on biomedical/lab work (which I am not enjoying). I love babies and also want a career that involves helping people. I've decided I want to be a neonatal nurse. Should I drop human biology and go for a Nursing course at University instead? Thank you in advance : )

  • Answer:

One does go through a nursing program in order to be a neonate nurse. Neonatal nursing will be a specialty to look into further- either in the senior year of nursing or at or after getting experience working as a nurse (depending on where you are).
