How to interpret a dream about falling into a hole?

  • last night, for the first time in my life, i had a dream about falling.. i was wandering on a hill that was covered in snow..and i could see the roof tops of a city nearby, and people were standing on the roof tops waving at me.. i continued walking and then suddenly i slipped and i fell, i fell into a hole and as i fell and as i realized that I am about to die or that I'm going to be stuck in that hole I felt like I was Alice in Wonderland and in my dream I realized it must be a dream, before I hit the ground I woke up and I was crying. I don't know why but that dream really affected me because I never ever had a dream like that before, so i assume it must mean something very important. can someone help me? I already googled it and also looked the definition "falling" up in my dream interpretation book but I did not really find anything satisfying just the usual "you are afraid and anxious and you are failing in life, whether that is in your relationship or at school/work" but that's not applicable to my current situation so it must have meant something else.. I would really appreciate it if someone has any ideas. Thank you in advance :)
