Do you like the name Shayne for a girl?

Which baby girl name do you like better?

  • We have a few names picked for our baby girl, but with only a few months left, I'm getting anxious to pick one and just stick with it. It's a bit tricky cause our last name is "Moon". Our favorite girl name is Summer, but would Summer Moon be a name you'd think is beautiful or just make fun of? I'm also considering Brynley and Savannah. Any unbiased opinions would be appreciated. (By the way, I went to school with a girl named Spring Rose, and thought it was a lovely name, and never heard her get teased. I guess that's kinda why I'm still hoping at least a few people won't find my name too hippie or granola.)

    Either Summer Moon or Savannah Moon <3 If you're really really worried about her getting teased, go with Savannah (a lovely choice; a name I love) ... but I honestly don't think she'll get teased if you name her Summer, because Moon isn't the middle name, it's the last name (there's a difference). Actually, even if it was the middle name, it would still be lovely :)

i think summer moon is beautiful but its hard to tell what kids are going to get bullied for these days, but i think Savannah Moon is Absolutely gorgeous name. i would go with that one if i was you (: best of luck and congratulations on your little girl

Sorry, but I think Summer Moon is only going to lead to tears in her childhood. Same as Savannah Moon. It's along the same lines as Nicole Kidman's baby called Sunday Roast... oops, I mean Sunday Rose. I like that other lady's suggestion, Ivy Rose, that's really pretty! And old fashioned names are very cool at the moment! The two WORST names I've ever heard are Amanda Love and Theresa Green. Poor kids :(

I personally think Summer Moon is a very sweet and romantic name. I do see however, how she could be teased. I don't like the name Brynley. I think it looks a bit trashy and trendy. I love how Savannah Moon looks and sounds! I would go with this one. I can also see a beautiful, rustic savanna with a big moon behind it. Kind of like summer moon but less noticeable if you know what I mean.
