Is FIFA 08 for PS3 any good?

Does anyone still play FIFA 2008 for PS3 online? Need to know as I'm planning to get PS3 and FIFA 08....?

  • I'm kind of new to the online thing... I'm planning on getting getting a PS3 soon. I want to get FIFA 2010 World Cup South Africa, as that game rocks! I know the online servers are up and loads of people still play that against each other online. But I also wanna get FIFA 08 as that was the year Ricardo Quaresma was still playing at F.C. Porto(My favorite Club team). I want to be able to play others online. Do people still play Fifa 08 online? Or have the servers shut down completely... Does anyone ever cherish old games like myself? Just curious...

    fifa 08 is offline only fifa 10 i s offline fifa world cup south Africa is offline shut December 2011 if you wan to play online you need to go and buy fifa 12 or fifa 11 these are only ones still online

No, EA kills all game server that are 3 years back (in terms of sports games) that mean if a game is released in 09 the server of 08 will be up but if 10 is released the server of 9 will stay up but 08 will die. FIFA 12 is out so you can only play 11 online anything behind that you cannot play online. I cherish old games I still have a ps2 with FIFA 07 boy do I love that.
