How good are the Alpine Type E Subwoofers?

Would my Alpine MRP-M1000 amp be able to run two Alpine Type R 1243D subwoofers effeciently?

  • So I have an Alpine M1000 Amp, here are the specs on the amp. RMS Power Output : 600x1 Power at 2 Ohms: 1000x1 Here are the subwoofers' specs: 4 ohms, Dual voice coil, RMS: 300-600 W Peak Power Handling: 1800 W In the past, I have had an alpine 1242D sub and also a 1243D hooked up at different times, and I ended up blowing both at their individual times. So now, I am thinking if I run two 1243D's in parallel, then i might be able to work this and still have great bass. Any information on this or how to wire it correctly and efficiently for most bass output would be very much appreciated.

  • Answer:

go to (rf tech woofer wiring wizard) and use there chart to wire your sub or subs to an ohms load the amplifier and sub woofers can handle.this is important and is most likely the reason you have blown 2 sub woofers in the past.this is a rockford fosgate site.
