Why does Yahoo keeps locking up?

Why does my yahoo not respond as well as it used to and keeps hanging up, running slow if at all.?

• frequently hangs up and wont let me login for 5 or 10 minutes. yesterday yahoo i couldn't sign out cursor moved but no response from the site. I've already gotten to the point that I run a Norton 360 full system scan at least once a day. Yet the problem persists.This is a fairly new HP laptop Pavilion PC and does all other functions flawlessly. Yet I always seem to have to struggle when I try to use yahoo. This is a top of the Line laptop, But I'm beginning to wonder if yahoo isn't a top of the line search engine......maybe its time to go back to Google, since my computer works like a olympic athlete on Google. very fast! I'm used to yahoo and i dont really want to switch, but I don't have the patience for snail slow performance that I get from yahoo for at least the first 15 minutes after I open yahoo. Do you have a way to correct this, or should I just run away from yahoo while screaming and cursing?

  I have had the same problem recently and looked around the internet and found a solution. I am going to assume you are using Adblock Plus and are using Firefox 11. Open Adblock Plus --> click on "Filter Preferences" Under the "Filter Subscriptions" tab --> click on "Add Filter Subscription" Select "Easy List" --> click "Add" Deselect the box next to "Fanboy's List" and make sure the "Easy List" box is selected. Click close and try Yahoo Mail again!!!
