Flash drive problem either Recycler virus or some other problems?
-
Long story short, flash drive got infected from school computer, went home and used Avast to clean it, threats found, mainly Recycler viruses and I deleted them. Unfortunately some files are corrupted. I have some images for instant that when you open the image won't show up rather it just shows a small rectangle with an X on it. Since they were corrupted, I deleted them too, and tried to find the images and save them again. since they have the same name as before, Windows asked me if I would like to replace the file with the same name. However, just like I said, I have deleted the file already so how could there still be a file with the same name. So I refreshed the Window of my flash drive and the corrupted files were back. Deleted them again but after refresh they ar still there. How do I fix this?

Answer:
You need to format the flash drive. That will delete everything off it and clean it up again. Once you've formatted it, then run Avast over it again, just to be sure. Then you'll be able to add files to it. To format the drive, right click on it and select format.
