Freeview is quite common as a free to view collection of digital channels. You don't need to pay for these, you only have to pay for the equipment that receives the signals which in this case is your TV. On the website for freeview it mentions that you need to pay a one off payment but I believe this is only for the equipment (again built into your TV). For freeview HD or freeview+ you would most likely need different equipment as these are rarely built into common TV's. All you may need to do is tune your TV when you get it and everything should fall into place. Here are a list of some of the channels you get as a standard. (plus a handful of radio stations) BBC One BBC Two ITV 1 Channel 4 FIVE ITV 2 BBC Three BBC Four ITV 3 Sky Three Yesterday Channel 4+1 More4 Film4 QVC 4Music Dave Virgin 1 TMF Ideal World bid tv ITV 4 Dave ja vu E4 E4+1 FIVER FIVE USA The Big Deal Virgin1 +1 Create and Craft Price-drop Quest Supercasino CBBC CBeebies CITV (not in Wales) BBC News BBC Parliament Sky News Sky Sports News CNN Russia Today NHS Choice BBC Red button Sky Text S4C (in Wales) Channel 4 (in Wales) ITV 2+1(Scotland and Northern Ireland only) TeleG (in Scotland) S4C2 (in Wales) Price-drop Rocks & Co Lottery Xtra Teachers’ TV SmileTV2 SmileTV3 ITV regional service (England and Wales showing ITV2+1) Babestation Partyland Teletext Holidays Rabbit Teletext Casino 1-2-1 Dating Directgov Gay Rabbit

Its free, no hidden costs... If you have a sat dish you can connect it to freesat with a freesat box, which cost around £40 from Argos and you get hundreds of channels , all the British stations including regional music, film news..anything really and radio stations from all over the world free..Oh and you can get hundreds of free to air channels also..

You have already paid for the TV with a built-in Freeview tuner, so that's all you have to pay, apart of course from the cost of a TV licence. The service itself is free - that's why it's called FREEview. You will need to tune the TV in order to receive the channels. The procedure for this should be described in the manual that came with the TV.

It most certainly is free. Just plug in your Ariel and press the DTV button. It may need to install channels but should talk you through it. Enjoy the world of free tv lol
