How much storage capacity does Apple's Apple TV have?

    There are two generations of Apple TV. The last of the gen 1 machines had a 160Gb hard drive and cost $279 before being replaced with the gen 2 version we see on sale now. The current one (gen 2) is 2/3rds the size and costs $99....so you can guess what happened to the storage. Hook one up to an external USB drive or network storage. That's the way the rest of us use it. Have a look at XMBC (xbox media centre). It's a firmware reflash (jailbreak) that puts a more user friendly and flexible interface on the Apple product.
