Is it same between laser jet printer and laser printer?

How does a laser printer compare with ink-jet printer?

  • Considering cost and usefulness, how does a laser printer compare with inkjet (deskjet) printer? Please consider cost of printing (cartridge and power required) as per Indian picture. I am confused since laser printer cartridges are getting costly very fast which is not the case for inkjet cartridges so far, as far as I know. I need black and white printouts and for two types of jobs: in one case, I will need to print something which I may not need for long and in other case, I need to print something which I will read for a long time and need to preserve. Somebody told me that inkjet printing may be erasable by slightest abrasion etc but that is not the case with laserjet printing. So what should I do?

    laser printer uses advanced technology which surely suggest it will be costlier. But the pictures and letters printed are sharp and accurate if you compare with an deskjet. So it is useful for official purpose like printing bar codes letters which are very small( usually these are T&C given in ads) also the ink doesn't gets damaged by water which is not observed in deskjets. And 1 cartridge is equvalent to many inkjet cartridges. In the long run it saves money, Only if you use it for official purpose. If not then stick up with inkjet.

About to compare both have printing technical different, Inkjet Printer have limit of capacity of printing paper with each cartridge , Inject printer cartridge are very expensive than laser printer Due to that print very less and cartridge value are very High, some Inkjet printer are low power consumption and laser printer while printing than using more power, but inkjet printer have high maintenance. but price are quater than laser printer, all over if you need average 20 pages per day so Laser is the best , but if you hardly need 1 copy per day so inkjet advisable but compare to print quality and printing cost than laser is the best, In the inkjet printer you have to make 1 copy each day or in a week , otherwise cartridge ink will dry and have to change cartridge. Inkjet printer print also long lasting if it do not get wet. My way if you want more copy and reduce cost of printing than go for EPSON TX101 and CISS unit attached with it , so you can get colour copy also in the cost of laser printer print page cost is Low , and other "brother" have some inkjet printer also can attached CISS ,

laser printers cant b compared with inkjets. I recomend you to refil catridges instead of purchasing new ones
