Can I use inkjet labels in a laser printer?

Can i use inkjet labels in an laser printer & will they be waterproof?

  • Answer:

No printer will print water-proof labels or stickers or whatever. That is done on a commercial press and a CLEAR or lacquer is applied after the printing.

Neither inkjet printers or laser printers are "waterproof". Laser print labels are able to withstand more moisture though than inkjet. Laser printers generate a LOT more heat during the printing process, so I'd be careful running any label stock not specified for laser printers. In other words, I wouldn't run anything that doesn't state "okay for use in laser printers"

while you can use either in an inkjet printer, with a laser printer you have to be careful. if the labels melt or peel, they can get stuck in the printer and destroy it.
